Last night we went on a hunt for some 1015 onions to plant in our garden. It is time to plant them and we couldn't find them in Weatherford on Saturday (did I ever mention how attractive of a husband I have....love the whole country side of him!!!) I came up with the crazy idea that Wal-Mart of all places might have them. We went to the Wal-Mart by where I work and to our surprise, I was right, they had them!
So all of this hunting didn't leave time to cook dinner... Jason's Deli was near by and we decided to eat dinner. Ava had her usual cup of soup and some broccoli and tomatoes from my salad. After dinner she and daddy always get an ice cream cone. And yes, even I, got one as well. I told Matt just to level the ice cream and cone, I didn't want a lot of ice cream.... Well he just couldn't help but to pile it up there. I scrapped it off in my salad bowl and began to eat my ice cream. I am holding Audrey and EVERY time I go to take a bite she grabs either my hands or the cone and pulls them closer to her mouth. She won't eat pears or bananas (that's all we tried so far) but she wants to eat ice cream! There were a couple of close calls and I had to clean her hands a few time so she didn't transfer ice cream to her mouth, but I managed to keep it out of her mouth. I had to get up once we were finished for more napkins so I hand Audrey to Matt.
Well.... Audrey tasted some ice cream off Ava's face. Matt and Ava managed to keep the actual cone out of Audrey's reach but the ice cream left overs on Ava's face were just in reach. Audrey leans over and licks, yes licks, the ice cream off of Ava's cheek! I think I am going to have a family of people who love desserts.... I'll be the only one who doesn't. And this is one thing that I won't "learn" (I already know how, but the whole "I don't know how" excuse still works...shh!), it's just way too much work!
So Audrey had ice cream at the ripe ole' age of 5 months.
