Today was Audrey's six month appointment, she won't be 6 months until Sunday, but we had her appointment early. She weighs 15' 6 oz and is 27 1/2" long. That puts her in the 90th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight.
She still isn't eating much solid food because of she's refusing to eat fruits. Doc agreed with me to hold off on much cereal until we can get her to eat the fruit as well. She will sit up on her own for a little while before she slides to one side or the other. I am having to put her in 6 or 6-9 months clothes now because of length issues. Everyone thinks she also really "big" (meaning chubby) but she's not. In fact the doc said looking at her you wouldn't guess her weight. I have a theory, its her chubby nursing cheeks that make her look as big. (With the combination of her being so long..) Her little tummy isn't fat, but she does have some rolls on her thighs.
It might also be that everyone is comparing her to Ava who was so small as an infant. We were lucky to get her in the 25th percentile in either weight or height. She's in 50th for height and 25th for weight now...finally. For some reason we have light kids.... wish it would work for me! No one ever guesses how much I weigh correctly.... I'm much heavier. Even the weight guesser at fairs and theme parks always get it wrong! Or they're just being nice... that's a real probability as well. Well I'm off to relax for a while, it's been a very difficult week! I don't know what I would do if I had sick kids all the time! Thank goodness we have Natalie, I would take an exuberant amount of vacation otherwise!
