Washington DC Pics

First time on a subway... if you don't count the short ride to the Tandy Center as a kid!

Washington, DC definitely gave you a work out. We walked or took public transportation everywhere. I have to say the WWII memorial was the most moving for me. Matt's grandfathers having served in WWII makes it even that much more special. I am glad I had glasses on! I think many times in our nation we forget the many sacrifices that have been made for our country. We get caught up in entitlement and forget that we aren't entitled to anything, someone has fought for what you have. I am so grateful to all the men and women that gave their lives so that I can have the freedoms I have today. And the one thing that really gets under my skin is my generation and they way they act during a national anthem. Stop walking, talking, texting, fidgeting or laughing... put your hand over your heart look at the flag and stand still. That is the least you can do!

Kind of, wouldn't have it any other way! The girls love her very much (and so do we). Can't travel without Audrey so they come along!
