What Two Years Come Up With

Yesterday when we got home Ava was tired and was whining a lot!!! She plumped herself down in the floor and started to throw a fit. I quickly picked her up, and let her know that was not the appropriate way to behave! In our "talk" afterwards I was telling her that she is a big girl and knows how to use her words. Big girls need to use their words to tell Mommy and Daddy what they want instead of whining and crying. She gazed into my eyes with her big blue puppy dog eyes and said "Mommy I want a sucker". I couldn't help but laugh and Matt happen to be walking thru the bedroom during this "discussion" and he paused to survey the situation. When Ava responded with "Mommy I want a sucker" he just fell on the floor laughing. Ava notices daddy falling and since she just got in trouble for falling in the floor she goes over to Matt and bends down and says "No daddy, not in the floor!"

Aren't two year olds great!
